04 Jun Space Saving Ideas for Tiny Bathrooms
If you’ve ever had to deal with a pint-sized bathroom, you know the struggle. Not enough room to store all the necessities, and if you make room, it looks unbelievably cluttered. Since you can’t create space out of nowhere, do the next best thing – use the space that is there to its best abilities.
Make your tiny bathroom feel huge by trying out these space-saving tips. The best part? Most of them are DIY!
Install a toilet lid sink.
If your bathroom is too small for a regular-sized sink (or too small for a sink in general), a toilet lid sink is perfect for you! Not only does it utilize space that would otherwise go to waste, it also conserves water and promotes hand-washing! 100 percent clean, fresh water comes out of the faucet and the gray water from washing your hands drains directly into the toilet bowl for flushing. The toilet lid sink installs easily without the need for a plumber, and will save you space, money, and water.
Hang baskets, bars, and hooks.
When there is no space elsewhere, go up! Hanging baskets to store everything you need is a great way to avoid clutter. Bars and hooks can also be installed almost anywhere for easy towel storage.
Hang your toothbrushes.
If you have no counter space for your toothbrushes and toothpaste, use a hanging toothbrush holder. Again, wall space is your saving grace. Your toothbrushes and toothpaste can conveniently hang right above the sink!
Use mason jars.
If you want to save space, but are also concerned about the aesthetic of your bathroom, mason jars are a trendy and visually appealing way to go. Mount several on the wall to store toothbrushes, beauty products, hair brushes, and anything else that fits!
Install over-the-toilet storage.
There are many affordable shelving options sold in stores that fit around and above your toilet, creating much needed storage space. If you are handy, these over-the-toilet shelves are an easy DIY project!
Use a spice rack.
Off-the-counter storage at its finest – spice racks. They can be mounted to the walls and can hold a plethora of bathroom necessities.
Take advantage of your shower curtain.
Why waste space you don’t have? Buy a shower curtain with pockets to store shampoos, conditioners, and anything else that you need within reach.
Mirrors make a space look bigger; by hanging one large mirror or several smaller ones, your bathroom will appear to be larger (especially if you get a wall-covering mirror)!
